Finding the Texas Trust CU Theatre
Among the theatres in Grand Prairie, Texas Trust CU Theatre is an indoor live-event venue next to Lone Star Park and half a mile north of I-30 on Belt Line Road. From the north, take Highway 183 to Belt Line Road, then head south to Lone Star Parkway.
From the south, take I-30 to Belt Line Road and continue north to Lone Star Parkway. An alternate route follows I-30 to MacArthur, then Hunter Ferrell west to Belt Line Road; turn south for Lone Star Parkway.
The venue opened in 2002 and has had several names, including NextStage Performance Theater, Nokia Live, Verizon Theatre and The Theatre at Grand Prairie.
It is about a 13-minute drive from 1902 Studios, a nearby base for a concert visit. If you’re planning other local events, you can also read about visiting Choctaw Stadium and planning a Globe Life Field visit.
Checking the Event Calendar and Buying Tickets
The venue’s Events page is the place to find its event calendar. Each listing links to event information and tickets, and the listing gives the event date and start time. Door times often appear there too, but details vary by event, so check the specific listing when planning your arrival.
Texas Trust CU Theatre directs guests to AXS to buy tickets and check availability. Buy only through authorized outlets: the venue warns that tickets from other sources may be counterfeit, stolen or voided.
The box office opens only two hours before showtime, so it may not be useful for an earlier ticket purchase. If you’re picking up Will Call tickets, bring photo identification, the credit card used for the purchase and your confirmation number. Some Will Call tickets may be available only on the event day.

Parking and Arrival Planning
Event parking is directly adjacent to the theatre and opens two hours before each event. Spaces are first come, first served, and overnight parking is not allowed.
The venue’s published pages give different typical prices for the General Lot, so confirm the current fee before you go; they list the VIP/Suites Lot at $50. Parking accepts credit or debit cards, not cash.
Allow time to park and reach the entrance. The venue says doors typically open one hour before the event time on your ticket, though the timing varies. Check the event listing for the details that apply to your show. Disabled parking spaces and a designated passenger drop-off location are in front of the building.
Tailgating, grilling, open flames and consuming alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the parking area. For entry, clear plastic or vinyl bags must be no larger than 12 x 12 x 6 inches; single-compartment clutches or wallets must be no larger than 6 x 9 inches.
Medical bags and infant diaper bags are also approved within the stated limits. Backpacks and bags larger than a small clutch are among the prohibited items. Expect a metal detector, visual inspection and bag inspection at screening.
Venue Entry and Accessibility
The accessible entrance ramp is at the front of the venue on its west side. Wheelchair-accessible seats are in row QQ in sections 202, 203, 204, 205 and 206, with one companion allowed per wheelchair seat. You can request accessible seats through AXS or in person at the box office.
For accommodation requests, email accessibilityTXTCUT@aegpresents.com. To request sign-language interpretation, contact Guest Services at accessibility@aegpresents.com at least two weeks before the event. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available, along with a unisex/family restroom on either side of the main lobby. Free assisted-listening receivers are available for most events at the Main Lobby Guest Service Kiosk; you’ll need valid identification.
The venue has a no-re-entry policy during events. If an emergency or a prohibited item left in your vehicle requires you to leave, contact a Guest Services supervisor or manager first.
Before you go
Event schedules, door times and parking details can vary. Check the official site before you go, including the listing for your event, and plan your arrival around its stated times.
