Distance and Drive from DFW to Grand Prairie
DFW airport transportation starts with a roughly 18-minute drive from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to 1902 Studios. That gives you a short airport-to-hotel drive, but the transport choice still matters: taxi and rideshare pickups are at the terminals, while a rental car requires a shuttle ride to the Rental Car Center.
For a direct ride, compare a taxi with an app-based pickup. If you want a car for more than the airport transfer, DFW’s Rental Car Center brings several rental companies together. Public transit also connects the airport with parts of the Dallas–Fort Worth area, though the listed rail stations are at specific terminals.

Rental Cars and Driving Routes
DFW’s Rental Car Center is near the airport’s south entrance at 2424 E. 38th Street, DFW Airport, Texas. The facility has 11 rental-car companies. After collecting your baggage, follow the Rental Car signs to the designated lower-level terminal pickup area and board the shuttle to the center.
The Rental Car Center shuttle runs around the clock, arrives every 8–15 minutes and takes approximately 7–10 minutes between terminals and the center. It is free for rental-car customers and ADA accessible. Construction may affect travel times, so allow extra time for the transfer.
If you’re driving to DFW, the airport directs drivers to enter from State Highway 183 on the south, or State Highway 114 or Interstate 635 on the north.
International Parkway runs north to south and serves the terminals, parking areas and on-site hotels. Drivers without a TollTag can use ticket lanes at the north or south entry and exit plazas and pay with contactless payment; cash is not accepted.
Public Transit and Connecting Services
DFW’s rail connections are split between terminals. The DART Orange Line serves Terminal A, and the Silver Line and Trinity Metro TEXRail connections serve Terminal B.
DART places its Orange Line station near Entry A10; you can reach it from the terminal using the lower-level walkway. The Silver Line station is near Entry B43. Its route serves Cypress Waters, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and Plano, not downtown Dallas.
DART describes the Orange Line as a seven-days-a-week service, with trains every 15 minutes during peak hours, every 20 minutes midday and every 30 minutes late at night. Schedules may change. TRE connects Dallas and Fort Worth through CentrePort/DFW Airport Station; terminal transfers use the TRE Link shuttle.
For local trips, Grand Prairie offers Via Grand Prairie, an on-demand shared transportation service. The city did not join DART. Via assigns riders a nearby virtual bus stop and provides a driver ETA and real-time tracking in its app.
Listed fares are $3 one way for trips within Grand Prairie, plus $1 for each additional passenger in the group; riders aged 65 or older pay $2 per trip. Rides to West Irving Train Station for TRE service between Dallas and Fort Worth are listed at $3 per trip.
Via’s listed operating hours are Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–9:00 PM; Friday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–10:30 PM; and Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Grand Connection transit serves people aged 60 or older and people with a physical or mental disability.
Choosing Transport for Your Arrival
For a direct terminal pickup, compare taxi and rideshare: taxi stands are listed on the lower level, while app-based providers use the upper-level curbside. If you prefer to drive beyond the airport transfer, factor in the Rental Car Center shuttle when planning your arrival.
For rail, first identify the terminal for your connection: Orange Line at Terminal A, or Silver Line and TEXRail at Terminal B. TRE uses CentrePort/DFW Airport Station, with terminal transfers by TRE Link.
Via Grand Prairie is an on-demand option for local trips, with service hours and fares that vary by day and rider details. The available information does not specify a direct Via connection from DFW to the hotel, so treat it as a local transportation option rather than an airport pickup plan.
